Hi, I just stumbled upon your website and really enjoyed reading about the building of your vo studio. I am also a vo talent in the DC area. Although I don't have my own recording studio, I'm seriously thinking about making one soon since we're going to be moving into a new house in a few months. I like how you used insulation to make your booth and office more sound proof. Anyways, I know its' been a few years since you've completed it, but so glad you posted it for folks like me to see how it can be done! Thanks,

Great job on the studio. Looks like a great space to work in for hours on end. Another great mic for voiceovers is the Sennheiser MKH416. This shotgun mic is well suited for narration with it's ability to target the mouth without needing to be being so close as to suffer from plosives and proximity effect. It may be a bit too bright depending on your voice, but it well worth the effort to experiment with it.

Diane! Wow, wow, WOW! I looooove your studio and office...and doesn't it just feel so good knowing YOU did it?! the fabric is so totally cool, and i also am very impressed with your color choices...you really made it work. (the color looks like one we've used before called 'Bread Basket', that wouldn't happen to be your color, would it?!) Thanks for showing this to me...i am now so inspired to do some neat stuff with all the fabric i have sitting on my office floor! :) See you in church...Renee
